| 125915 | 2003-03-06 04:24:00 | i have acquired a new computer with this device and use operating system Win Me. It comes with Easy Creator CD and I need to know how to use this to write and retrieve files from CD's. I intend to set up files on CD"s and I can copy to this system but have trouble opening the files from the CD. My system comes up with a signal that I do not have permission to access these files. How do I get around this problem to retrieve these files? I use an HP system with SDRAM and 30.0GB hard drive and Windows 2000 Word, Excel etc. Regards Franci |

| 125916 | 2003-03-06 04:34:00 | Almost all programmes open files with the intention of reading andwriting. This is fine on a hard disk, but normal disk operations don't write to CDs. :D The files are given the read-only attribute on the CD. They inherit that when they are copied to HD, too. If you rightclick on a file, then in the Properties page, you can change the Read Only tick. |
