125919 2003-03-06 03:58:00 "The page cannot be displayed" in Internet Explorer "The White Page of Death " There seems no way round the DNS Error or Site Not available i can put any site in the box - but still get this error!! - Frustrating

Did i miss something?

125920 2003-03-06 04:02:00 You are missing a DNS server. :D Without that, you have no way of translating the site names to the IP addresses which the network uses.

If you are confident with the Network settings, reneter the address of your ISP's DNS server. If not make a new Connection with the Wizard. (You might get Gandalf this time, not Saruman).

125922 2003-03-07 03:51:00 With computers running Windows, things happen. Often without any human intervention. Wouldn't it be boring if everything was the same each time you used the computer? And worked? MS try to give you a rich experience. (Oops --- they get rich; you get the experience). Graham L (2)

That's good Graham ;-)

Anyways, go into your ISP connection properties, and remove the IP and DNS settings and see how that works out...

125925 2003-03-07 04:13:00 It did work? Graham L (2)
125926 2003-03-07 07:31:00 We are not going anywhere very fast here.
First are you actually connecting with your modem, do you get the two little computers showing in the bottom right corner.
Is your email working in Outlook, check if you can send/receive
How are you making these posts to PressF1 do you have another computer
When it was suggested to make a new connection, it was not meant actually with your ISP but just setting up a new one on your computer.

What operating system are you using, if you tell us that we can give you instructions on how to set up a new connection.
You should not have any IP addresses or DNS setting in already as they are all server assigned by the ISP but setting up a new connection will take care of any of that.
