| 125893 | 2003-03-06 03:30:00 | hey i was wondering where i could find the correct "display adapter" for a Compaq MV520? will it be on the windows 98 disc? i'm just a lil scared that i will remove the display from properties (my comp->properties) and that i won't be able to get it back on :/ am i worrying too much? ooh btw running windows 98, on a compaq prestairio 5396 TonesMalones |

| 125894 | 2003-03-06 03:36:00 | You don't really need the correct drivers for a monitor. Windows should detect it as a Plug 'n' Play monitor and it should work fine. Never seen a computer with the correct drivers installed for the monitor except ones that have say a 19" monitor or LCD screen. Really only used to get correct refresh rates etc |

| 125896 | 2003-03-06 09:55:00 | the "display adapter" is the video card not monitor, and yes you will need the proper drivers. never assume they will be on the windows disk. easiest way is to go to compaqs website and dowload them, or open the case have a look at what video card it has ad download the drivers from the manafactures website. |
