125767 2003-03-05 09:01:00 found today an old monitor which was being chucked out

I get it home and yes it goes fine - colour 12inch approx screen

only trouble is on the right hand is the windows screen is pushed over to the left - thus leaving an inch of black/unusable space screen right

it is not a settings issue (have tried all 600/800 resoloution + down and up) trouble - in every other way this monitor (a Packard Bell 1020) is going well...

+ ofcourse tried to drag screen across but it hits the edge on the right hand side and no way - thus the left hand side (start and up vertically speaking is off the screen to screen left)

I mean yes one can use it all ok but I want to get the monitor back to normal...

any ideas?

125768 2003-03-05 18:01:00 There should be a physical setting on the monitor fpr displacement of the raster, right and left, another up and down.

If there are no external controls then it could be an adjustment pot on the circuit board inside the monitor.

Remember there is both 230 volts and 25,000 volts floating about in a monitor, so any operation with the covers off should only be undertaken if you know what you are doing.

Don't expect the controls to be marked as to their function, they may not be.
