Also known as Bank Deposits, Virtual Cheques or whatever fancy name each bank has for their facility. You go online to your bank account and transfer the money into the other person's bank account, or vice versa. You or they need to supply a bank account number first, of course. It is very handy but you are liable for any mistakes you make, eg depositing money into the wrong account! :O |

I don't know whats involved in setting up the facility, but there can't be too much to it. There has to be a reason why the vendor dosen't want to take the giant leap. | Baldy (26) | ||

It is where a 3rd party handles direct credit/credit card payments, and requires the buyer to send the money to them first, they inform the seller that the money has been paid, the seller posts it via Courier and informs Safetrader, who checks with the courier company that it's actually been sent, the courier company asks the buyer to check the goods on delivery, and to sign a form before they leave, then that form is passed on to Safetrader who then gives the money to the seller. I apologise for the very long sentence above, but that's how it's like. I don't know if there's another company which offers a similar service, but it's worth asking around. |
