Looked at many options like safe mode, Ctl alt del, etc, but the breakthrogh was by using END It ALL + WinME Defragagger. End it all closes all running applications in one hit: Get it for free here; www.pcmedixwebs.com In addition for users of Win98 the WinME Defragger is much faster than the Win98/se defragger.. Get it for free here: members.cox.net This maybe not applicable for Win2000 or WinXT. Using these applications, my 20GB HDD scans in about 5 mins + defrags in about 18 mins without any restarts. |
