1331120 2013-03-04 04:29:00 Yello, I am doing a project with above scanner to make a large format camera. I've modified the scanner lens, downloaded from canon and installed the Canon Tool-box program and drivers.
The machine took some photos then started emitting errors along the line of "Twain source not found, remove I/F cable and try again"
The lens carriage moves about 1-2 cm then returns to the rest position.
Anyone have any ideas?
Have tried various solutions from Google but nothing seems to work.
Cheers.

1331124 2013-03-04 06:20:00 Download Trial version of Vuescan hope it supports your scanner. If that does not work it may be hardware issue ... Nomad (952)
1331125 2013-03-04 06:35:00 Tried Vuescan but it comes back with "No scanner found"
Ran the Toolbox as admin and got an invalid file type error.
The Scan Gear program doesn't seem to be loading, when the Canon GS exe is clicked nothing appears to happen.
Wouldn't put it past an hardware issue as I might have stuffed it but it worked before so dunno.

1331126 2013-03-04 08:23:00 Vuescan says your scanner won't work in x64 bit (with Vuescan software) and you need the Canon driver installed. So it's just software.

For some scanners they actually provide their own driver (not yours) ... dunno what is wrong about your scanner though.

Got another PC/laptop?

1331128 2013-03-04 19:42:00 You must be one of a few where adding the path doesnt work. Quite a few sites have this solution, and for most people it worked Speedy Gonzales (78)
