1305665 2012-10-08 01:25:00 Asus Vivo Tab . com/2012/08/asus-unveils-vivo-tab-line-of-windows-8-windows-rt-tablets . html" target="_blank">liliputing . com

Love the Transformer series and these looks great .

With Wacom pressure sensitive digitiser support and compatible with existing Windows software (not the RT version of course), it will be a real productive tool and not just a toy . As much as I love my Android tablet, they are really a just cool gadget and not so much a productive tool . It can't replace my laptop, so end up totting both laptop and Tab everywhere; with that, I can consolidate to just one gadget only .

The Asus Vivo Tab is a Windows 8 tablet with an 11 . 6 inch display, a Super IPS+ display, and a next-generation Intel Atom processor . It has a 1366 x 768 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, and64GB of storage .

This model also has a Wacom active digitizer, which means you can use a pressure-sensitive digital pen to write or draw on the screen . You can also use your fingers to navigate the touch-based Windows 8 user interface .

Asus says the tablet measures 0 . 34 inches thick and weighs about 1 . 5 pounds . It has a 2MP front-facing camera, an 8MP rear camera, and NFC (near field communication) technlogy .

Asus Vivo Tab RT

This tablet is a little smaller than the Vivo Tab, with a 10 . 1 inch Super IPS+ display . It’s also thinner and lighter, measuring 0 . 33 inches thick and weighing just over 1 . 1 pounds .

Under the hood, the Vivo Tab RT is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor . This model also has a 1366 x 768 pixel display and 2GB of RAM, but just 32GB of storage .

1305667 2012-10-08 04:40:00 I'm just a bit concerned about the Atom processor in the x86 version, based on my netbook's performance it won't be that great... Even the Surface Pro has an i5. pcuser42 (130)

1305672 2012-10-09 05:30:00 The pricing will all depend on what versions are available. The RT is NOT one I would be looking at. To be of any real use it has to have Windows 8 ( desktop) versions running under the start interface. If it doesn't then its just like a iPad really. The ones that will be looking at are the Lenovo's.

The damn suppliers are being tight lipped about pricing so far :D
