2012-10-07 23:29:00 | Hmmm - it looks sexy (for a phone)... I think it's time for an upgrade from my G-S - although I have only JUST got Jellybean (hellybean) on it. What you suggest Chill? | lordnoddy (3645) | |
2012-10-07 23:55:00 | he'll say the One X, based on hardware + when u mod it with a JellyBean rom i would say the S3 or a Galaxy Nexus :D

2012-10-08 00:14:00 | Gnex is better if you just want to enjoy a phone full of features especially as you will get great stable ROM's from google + lots of custom stuff for tweaking. One X or S3 with a custom ROM are great but its a bit frustrating getting ROM updates etc when the device first launches. Finding a good stable ROM can be hard. Unless you need the performance or features of the S3/One X I'd grab a nexus myself, you'll be able to run all the apps on the play store unless they are specifically tablet apps that require the larger processors. I'm planning on a Nexus for my next upgrade (some time in the next year or so) unless there are other phones that have strikingly impressive features.

2012-10-08 00:57:00 | oh, it's so awesome. the size of the screen is just right, compared to my old phone(nokia c5-03) and my ipod touch . it updated to JB as soon as i logged in. been installing a few apps, nothing major. i may end up doing a review of sorts once i have a couple days or so to use the device, but im loving it so far

2012-10-08 02:43:00 | Yeah ask yourself three questions: 1) Am I a total cheap-ass? Yes --> Something like the Vodafone Smart for $199. Expect to be constantly frustrated by the speed and lack of apps, but that's what you get when you spend < $300. Not even really recommended as an "introduction" into the Smartphone world, coz you'll likely be annoyed by the speed of it and other small issues that add up to make you an unhappy customer. No --> Next question 2) Am I on a mid-range budget? Yes --> Galaxy Nexus. Awesome all around phone, with quickly delivered updates from Google, at a fantastic price point! No --> Next question 3) Will I be OK with running a custom ROM on it Yes --> HTC One X. Hardware is awesome, but the SenseUI blows IMO No --> Samsung Galaxy S3. Hardware is fantastic, though marginally beaten by the One X, but at least the standard firmware is semi-decent.

2012-10-08 02:54:00 | My 4th Question would be: Are you absolutely sure you want and need to spend that much money on a Phone? Yes: Back to 3 No: Back to 2 People, myself included always want the biggest slice of performance pie ;)
