1305467 2012-10-12 07:12:00 Can you emulate the android platform on PC?Yes, there's a PC emulator for it (it's in the Android SDK), which is intended for developers to use for testing. It's slow as hell though - unless your PC's reasonably powerful (and even if it is, the experience will be painful), it may not run fast enough for SoundHound to work properly.

Real hardware is much better if you can get it, even if it's on the lower end of the spec range.

Classical music started (in the 70s) with:

Waldo de los Rios (Mozart 40, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik)
Mason Williams (Classical Gas) (with its Wagner tubas!)
Walter-or-was-it-Wendy Carlos (Switched on Bach)

Wikipedia: "Switched-On Bach is a musical album by Wendy Carlos (originally released under the name of Walter Carlos)." A very interesting discourse Switched-On Bach (en.wikipedia.org)

I'd forgotten those on your list, but again, they did serve to bring awareness of the Classics to the multitude, albeit fleetingly.

And whatever happened to the wonder of the times, the Moog Synthesiser? Were the parts were used to make some iCrap components? :devil

1305469 2012-10-13 06:47:00 Ah! I've figured out Cicero's joke:

Bar patron: Excuse me!!! Do you know you are standing on my foot?

Accordion player: Umm..............Tell you what - you hum it and I'll play it

That joke is that old that it was around at least one hundred years before the PG Tips ad.
