Its a bin file, not a zip.

That's the problem, it won't update. I select the file, and then click upgrade. Then it tells me 'please chose a file to upgrade'.

The default file name is too long, rename it to something shorter (like gargoyle.bin) and try again. It's a bug (feature?) of the stock firmware.
