1331567 2013-03-07 01:21:00 Maybe I checked out the wrong game, but the requirements dont seem that high.....to check if the GPU is limiting you, drop the graphs resolutions to 1024x768 and see if the game is any smoother....if so, yes, you need a better GPU, if not really, you need more CPU power... 1331568 2013-03-07 01:52:00 ^^ He has a good point.

Yeah they don't seem that high, for it at smaller resolutions. Back in the day that's all anybody ran things at though was the likes of 1024x768 (It came out like 6 or 7 years ago I think).

People want it in higher resolutions now with antialiasing and antistropic filtering and it'll very quickly make a mockery out of a lot of graphics cards :p

1331569 2013-03-07 02:11:00 I think I should make something clear.
I don't have any problem with graphics or frame speed.
If set to unlimited the frame speed will go over 100.
I am just doing this to prove a point or not.
As it is I am running settings at high or ultra.
Resolution is 1920x1200
Not a lot of difference after this little tweak, but it does somehow seem smoother.
I am currently flying helicopters & the landings feel more controllable.
I will try it like this for a while as long as it remains stable.

1331572 2013-03-07 05:56:00 Updated CPUs also have better IPC or instructions per cycle, so a modern i3 or i5 would probably give you a 40-60% boost at the same speed, modern architecture also allows for the creation of RAM drives to load games into for true blistering I/O performance. 1331573 2013-03-07 06:52:00 That will be next years upgrade. Driftwood (5551)
