1331130 2013-03-04 19:57:00 Did you check where the twain folder was before you added the path?? And the name? I could have a look with teamviewer if you want Speedy Gonzales (78)
1331131 2013-03-05 03:32:00 Checked that Speedy, have found out it may be something to do with the light being blanked off and unable to calibrate, will work on it, cheers Whenu (9358)
1331132 2013-03-07 02:47:00 Think I'll give up on trying to run on W7 32.
On the PC with XP, uninstalled everything from Canon, re-installed, tested with Control panel> scanner and it tested ok.
Tried the canon Tool Box but got Twain errors, tried it with Arc Soft but got the same results as prior,
ran it through HP photo program, the Canon GS panel came up, calibrated,
tried a few scans then kept getting errors again, "release the lock switch, disconnect the I/F cable and try again"
Didn't change anything since doing the scans. Aaaaahhh, maybe that's why it was on Trade Me.

1331133 2013-03-07 03:25:00 I would buy a more modern scanner. Get one with integrated printer and maybe fax. You can get one from DSE for $49 / printer/scanner. But its not a fax or wireless Speedy Gonzales (78)
1331134 2013-03-07 04:08:00 I've got a good MFP Speedy, I was using this one to try and hack to take large format photos, cheers Whenu (9358)
1331135 2013-03-07 04:25:00 There MAYBE a way - See the 3rd post (answers.microsoft.com).

To install manually, first install the LIDE 60 Windows 7 (x64) drivers from the Canon website (www.canon-europe.com) .

Now connect the LIDE 35 scanner. Cancel the installation process. In the device manager, select the inactive LIDE 35 and choose to update the driver. Select "all available drivers", then point to the LIDE 60 drivers listed under Canon Inc.

If you get the drivers to install. Vuescan SHOULD work

If that doesnt work try the link someone else gave on the above MS site

1331136 2013-03-07 04:53:00 Got Vuescan but the error message "can't connect as the Canon software isn't installed"
The lappie is a 32 bit W7, will try later.

1331137 2013-03-07 04:59:00 Get the 32 bit drivers then (www.usa.canon.com) the link I gave is for 64 bit

You still have to install the drivers. So Vuescan can see it. You need the drivers and the toolbox under software on this site
