I have been trying to get MJPEG files to work in adobe premiere for a while now but with no success.... so i was wondering if anyone has a free plugin for adobe premiere that would allow the proper editing and playback of MJPEG video files. |

Have a read of the following post ( complete) from this Forum: forums.creativecow.net any other installed Codecs may be causing the problem. |

Yeah I see that but im wondering if there are any that you don't have to pay for as it's not really important enough for me to need it but would be nice. |

As that article mentioned, if you have other codecs installed they may be causing the problems. K-lite is known to be a cause of the problem. |

I have no additional codecs installed but in order to edit mjpegs you need something like the morgan multimedia codec.... which you have to pay for. |

One way is to convert (or import) in another format, maybe in another (free) program(s), export e.g. as AVI, then try edit it in Adobe. I use to use video help com (www.videohelp.com/) where they have many editing tutorials or use their seach feature (www.videohelp.com) for mmc codec.
One issue I found when using free codecs for editing/conversions, is that sometimes multiple utilities, and other codes/scripts and optimal settings (with testing) are often required. |
