| 1331539 | 2013-03-06 03:36:00 | Hi guys. Still having trouble with this sodden thing.:badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc: Last time I posted, I got this response:- According to the Panasonic site its a toughbook? And depending on what it says after CF-50, will tell you how much ram it supports This depends on the specific model number: CF-50W/Y (Mk1) -- On-board 256MB. Expandable to 768MB CF-50A/B/X (Mk2) -- On-board 256MB or 512MB. Expandable to 768MB or 1,024MB CF-50D/E/F/G/H (Mk3) -- On-board 256MB or 512MB. Expandable to 1,024MB or 1280MB CF-50L/M (Mk4) -- On-board 256MB or 512MB. Expandable to 1,280MB or 1,536MB CF-50J/K (Mk5) -- On-board 256MB or 512MB. Expandable to 1,280MB or 1,536MB It also depends on the above, on what the CPU is in it This depends on the specific model number: CF-50W/Y (Mk1) -- Intel® Mobile Pentium® 4 Processor-M 1.9GHz CF-50A/B/X (Mk2) -- Intel® Mobile Pentium® 4 Processor-M 2.0GHz or 2.2GHz CF-50D/E/F/G/H (Mk3) -- Intel® Pentium® M Processor 1.4GHz OR 1.6GHz CF-50L/M (Mk4) -- Intel® Pentium® M Processor 1.7GHz CF-50J/K (Mk5) -- Intel® Pentium® M Processor 1.5GHz __________________________________ Question is, How do I know what model, it is? Had a look at it's bottom and all is says is the CF-50, nothing else, re whats above. If I can get a ram upgrade, without it costing too much, be good. I've tried linux but can't get the WiFi to work. Thanks, Ian |

| 1331540 | 2013-03-06 03:51:00 | Model/Serial Number [–] How can I determine a Toughbook mobile computer's full model number and serial number? This information is located on a barcode label on the bottom of the Toughbook. The full model number starts with CF-51, followed by several other characters (e.g., CF-51PG4HEBM). The serial number is a string of 10 characters: One number, followed by four letters, followed by five numbers (e.g., 1ABCD12345). This information can also be found in the BIOS Setup Utility (See BIOS section). www.panasonic.com |
