2003-03-10 05:23:00 it was suggested to get and run ad-aware, so i did - got all this info but what do i do with it? e.g. - ezula, gator, hotbar, cydoor, bonibuddy - can anyone tell me what these are? and if they are necessary? or what? -- please jayal (1291)
2003-03-10 05:28:00 Oh dear ... you have a nasty crop of spyware on your PC. All of those are spyware - have a look on google for more information on each individual program. Let ad-aware remove them for you as they are certainly not necessary.

2003-03-10 06:07:00 Make sure you backup the stuff.. It has an option in Ad-Aware to do this, that way if a proggy stops working un-expectedly and you really need it, you can restore the backup, and look for 3rd party ways of removing the stuff Chilling_Silence (9)
2003-03-10 08:50:00 Delete the lot and use spybot as well I use Drive Image as well these days to keep a stable backup copy of my C: drive in storage in case I over do it with cleanups and tweaking etc takes 10 mins to restore my O/S with all sotware on it as opposed to 4 hours starting from stratch .!! kiwibeat (304)
2003-03-11 10:46:00 Yes, Spy-bot + Ad-Aware are the best ...and both free. wrought iron (3250)
2003-03-11 11:19:00 Although the PC World disk has ad aware on it - note that this is not the latest version and ad aware 6 is now available and has some worthwhile improvements on version 5. twelvevolts (2623)
