127183 2003-03-10 21:46:00 hey there,

Could someone please tell me the difference between those wireless standards?

Cheers

Each standard can also transmit data at different rates. The latest 802.11g (which is not a standard yet) can transfer data at approx 20Mb/sec, but these transfer rates alter depending on distance etc.

Each standard also has limits on the number of users that can access at one time. See here (grouper.ieee.org) and here (www.webopedia.com) for some additional info.
