127521 2003-03-12 06:29:00 Hi All - I am back on-line with a new hard drive (having had it away to the manufacturer's rep for 2 weeks and 1 day), but now am having increasing difficulty gaining access to the internet through dial-up using Clear Net as my ISP. When I got home from work this evening, it took 35 minutes to gain access. X-(

This difficulty getting a dial-up connection is becoming more frequent at this time of day, and also later in the evening after 8.30pm. On a previous occasion I complained to Clear Net and was given an alternative number. Now I am told there is no other number than the one we all had to change to recently. Anyone else with problems, or any comment?

Many thanks
R.M.

127522 2003-03-12 06:47:00 What is the error message and error number you are getting when you try to connect. Jim B (153)
127523 2003-03-12 06:51:00 Line busy, and I'm sorry, I can't tell what error message it was. :( R.M. (561)
127524 2003-03-12 07:58:00 When you get the line busy error try dialing the Clear Net dialin number with your phone.
If the line is busy you will get a busy signal on the phone and Clear Net obviously need to get more lines.
If you get through with your phone and hear the modem sounds then it is a problem with your settings.

127525 2003-03-12 08:21:00 Do you get a message "verifying password" on two lines and then nothing for ages? B.M. (505)
127526 2003-03-12 10:23:00 Where are you dialing in from? I'm in Lower Hutt and very very occasionally get a busy signal. Dolby Digital (160)

127530 2003-03-12 17:55:00 Invercargill, and this problem has only just begun a few days ago. I had problems in the past, before the new number came in. R.M. (561)
