| 127392 | 2003-03-11 20:14:00 | Hey there (and welcome to PF1) Have a look-see at this thread here (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) for some opinions on laptop brands. I still stand by my opinion that the Compaq Evos are the best value for money - especially the n1020v's. I quoted one yesterday for someone who couldn't afford to spend too much, and still couldn't believe how cheap they are! Plus you get a DVD drive standard in most of them. Models like the 470051-311 (which is an Evo n1020v P4 2.0Ghz / 256MB Ram / 30GB HDD / 14.1" TFT / DVD / NIC / XPP) are great value. They retail at just over $3000 + GST. |

| 127394 | 2003-03-12 02:46:00 | Please note that a certain distributor who I won't name are selling ex lease n1020v notebooks to certain resellers, who are going on to advertise these laptops as new. They look like a bargain ($3050), but they aren't worth the hassle. Make sure to ask and ensure that they are brand new if you decide to buy one. | honeylaser (814) | ||
