127377 2003-03-11 12:14:00 My mouse will double click even though i only push the mouse button once, u might think that this is helpful but its not, i dont know why its doing this can someone please help?

Also, has it done it for ages? just started doing it?

If it's just the desktop - you can set it to do this. I think if Active Desktop is on it will do it. This also, I think, affects Windows Explorer. (Start; Settings; Active Desktop; View as Webpage. Deselect this if it has been set.)

Other possibility is the mouse itself. If the left button has been well used then the switch could be worn. If you suspect it's this - try another mouse (borrow one from someone to test it)
