| 127340 | 2003-03-11 19:16:00 | TO REDUCE JUNK MAIL PUT NAMES INTO BCC: AND KEEP THEM OUT OF THE TO: AND CC: AS MUCK AS POSSIBLE, THE REASON IS, IF SOMEONE ALONG THE CHAIN WAS INTO JUNK MAIL, THEY HAVE LOTS OF NAMES LISTED IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL THEY CAN FORWARD ON TO THE JUNK MAIL PEOPLE TO BE BURT ON TO THE NEXT RELEASE OF SPAM CDROM, AND IN A FEW MORE MONTHS TIME THERE WILL BE LOTS MORE OF JUNK MAIL WILL BE AROUND THE INTERNET SYSTEM. WHEN YOU GET JOKES BE EMAIL, DESTROY OR REMOVE AS MUCH EMAIL NAMES FROM THE BODY OF THE EMAIL AS YOU CAN. BEFORE YOU POST IT OFF TO OTHERS, |

| 127345 | 2003-03-13 23:23:00 | E . ric, Good to see someone shouting what i keep saying! Here is part of my email signiture: "------This is my personal email address, please do not broadcast it by including it in the TO: or CC: feilds of any bulk email . " It might seem harsh, but my address is not being advertised for me so much now . To secure anything, think like "the enemy" If securing a building, look for the weakness a burgler would use . To secure an email address, thing like a spammer might . What i would do if i wanted to be a big player in the SPAM industry is have someone write a little "freindly program" that kids would install on their parents computer . Something like a talking monkey, or an awful game that's free! To make it worth my while, this game could report home with any E-mail addresses found anywhere on the said computer, including in message bodys and address books . Wow i'd have millions of sellable addresses in no time! If this hasn't allready been done, it will be . And of course bots could go through the net and harvest addresses of web pages too! The spam that tells you how your webpage could be submitted to search engines at a "small fee" is done directly this way . Hey and if you like your freinds enough to send them something you think they might like, Have some respect for them and send them individually or BCC . . . . Don't broadcast their address with bulk mail! A friend of mine was fuming not so quietly a wee while ago because she got a bulk email that effectively gave her home address to 50 other people . Not all of these people were welcome to have the said address . Remember: people who get email may also be able to read the "to" feild . . Clueless |

| 127346 | 2003-03-14 00:10:00 | Ho The new Mailwasher.pro from Firetrust looks good. The new version costs, although the older version is still free AND he was good enough to forward a free version of the new program to anyone who had assisted with a financial donation after using the earlier free version.. Hope that makes sense - a fog element crept in to that last sentence. Scouse |
