| 127466 | 2003-03-11 23:23:00 | hey ive got office pro and im trying to load it on my laptop under xp and am having trouble authenticating it over the net, i have already installed on my pc under me and had no problems.......is it something to do with the different operating sustems? thanx |

If you have installed that copy of Office on a PC and activated it then you won't be able to activate the same copy on another PC/laptop. You will have to ring the 0800 number that is shown in the activation process. Normally it wouldn't be allowed to be installed on two PC's but I think with Office there is an allowance to have the same copy installed on one PC and one laptop. But to get it activated on the laptop you'll need to ring them and tell them what you are trying to do. |
