| 127715 | 2003-03-13 10:23:00 | It does suggest the wrong drivers are being accessed, if it prints gibberish, however it usually feeds several pages with a random number of characters on each page. Assume due to the age of the printer its a parallel cable connection, is the cable OK? A poor connection on one data line would have an "interesting" effect. Try a self test on the printer (not from the PC) to eliminate the printer being faulty. The manual will tell how, but often its initiated by holding down one particular button on the printer when powering the printer on. Turning it off stops it, but it should cycle through the font examples etc. |

| 127716 | 2003-03-13 10:55:00 | Some trojans will also cause a printer to print garbage. Download a trojan scanner & run it to discount the possibility & if none are found remove the printer from the system, download the latest drivers & reinstall. |
