127848 2003-03-14 00:23:00 Since using XP, my IE, and sometimes Windows Explorer Status Bar disappears.

I want it back, and I want it to stay!

How do I go about keeping it there!

I bring it back, but it keeps disappearing!

Im at my wits end ;-)

Cheers

127849 2003-03-14 01:32:00 Mine was doing that as well. Drove me nuts. It appears to be staying put at the moment but I am not sure why because I have not done anything special.

How about opening one Win Explorer window, put the Status bar in place then close the window without doing anything else. Hopefully yours will then stick.

127850 2003-03-14 01:36:00 Okay.. Just tried that several times and no luck... The thing just keeps dissappearing and its driving me up the creek!!!!

I dont mind even having to delve deep into the registry to fix it, I just want it to stay put!

127851 2003-03-14 01:47:00 It is weird, Chill, because it was doing the same thing to me ever since I have had Win XP but in the past few days it has come right *touches wood* .

Where is Babe Ruth when you need him, eh? :D

127855 2003-03-14 02:32:00 Hmm... Downloaded a couple of other things, but I couldnt specifically see anything that relates to this.

I downloaded the software to force login to Win98, so I'll be installing 98 on my laptop in a few hours, which will solve this problem for one PC!

Thanks for the URL, bookmarked!

Any other ideas?
