| 128128 | 2003-03-14 20:56:00 | I am running Windows 98se When I add new software the autoexec.bat file that runs on startup says too many paramters is this a problem? What does it mean? |

| 128129 | 2003-03-14 21:07:00 | Are you getting these errors when ; (1) you install programs or (2) you boot, switch on your computer If it is (2) ; (i) post you autoexec.bat file, or (ii) single step through you autoexec.bat file from boot up and let us know the line that is giving the worry. |

| 128130 | 2003-03-14 21:19:00 | Hi Brad E.ric's advice is sound, but it would help if we also knew what type of software you are installing. Most modern installs don't require an autoexec.bat entry so it sounds like you are installing an old 16-bit DOS or Win3.11 program. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 128132 | 2003-03-14 22:29:00 | Personally I'd disable the autoexec.bat altogether - or at least try it and see if the probs disappear. Win 98 doesn't require it. Go Start | Run | type in msconfig | Ok | uncheck Process Autoexec.bat |Ok etc. You can re-anable it afterwards if you really want to. |
