| 128192 | 2003-03-15 01:06:00 | Turning off vert sync is not a problem, it syncs the vert frame rate to the game instead of windoze. I have been running mine with GF2 GTS both with Win98 & XP online gaming. I have 2 sons at home, the 3 PC's networked and they have the vert sync off as well. It won't effect anything and you can always tick the box again to re-instate it. Dare you to try it and see the change in FPS. :P | Pheonix (280) | ||
| 128193 | 2003-03-15 03:46:00 | all the vsync does is sync the fps to the monitors refresh rate. seeing tim is no where near the monitors refresh rate turning it off won't do much. tim if your really keen to overclock then overclock your video card. try rivatuner. |

| 128194 | 2003-03-16 01:03:00 | OOH, i remember, i thought my processor was ripped off cause it was running at 1050mhz clock speed then Chilling_S or baldy told me to go in the bios to change a setting and now it runs at 1400mhz and and i got a very noticable boost in frame rate, can i just try making my processor at 1.6 clock speed to see some diff? I really think my processor is the bottle neck, some one tell me how, and tweak'e, give me a link for rivatuner |
