| 128149 | 2003-03-15 23:26:00 | yea I play CS all the time with a 56k modem, lag is a bit of a problem every now and then, if the latency goes over 220 then ditch that server and find another one, the normal latency for me is 140-170, playing on the xtra servers is not too bad. | dribble (3362) | ||
| 128150 | 2003-03-16 00:42:00 | I Play AA on 56k modem and 70% of the time i dont notice any lag, the lag only happends on some servers so i refresh and click on the ping button so aa shorts out which servers has the least lag, and even with my lag, it only takes 5secs the most to join a game unlike cs, if you lag in cs it efects every one, but i still get 200ping or more and it doesnt bother me, I dont even notice lag in cs but for some reason im gettting lag up to 700 and it bounces down and up, I dont know why, thats why I started this thread; some one help me!! Your lag in AA doesnt effect any one, the least ping i get in AA is 400 and I still kill and play normaly, ooh my honor is 8 now, and rising fast. Tip for AA, Join the winning team you can change any time you want and do the objectives and kill any one in your way, and try to stay alive in the round more than trying to kill some one. If you stay alive to the end of the round and your team or you finish all the objectives; you get around 200 points out of 1000 to get 1 honor. dont tk!!!; you lose 200 points if you kill a team mate, no matter what team you are in, you are always the team with the back packs!! help me with CS lag some one!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tim nzStan, dont you have 32mb graphics card? what fps are you getting in bf1942 and AA? If you over clock, i want to too, show me how Tim |

| 128152 | 2003-03-16 01:19:00 | since you are on dial up there is not a lot that can be done about the lag within CS from the CS forums about the lag problem: try and find a lucent v92 winmodem and leave it on windows + modem default settings now switch your rate to whatever rate 56k has, rate 3600 cl_cmdrate to 25 cl_updaterate to 24 or even cl_updaterate 20 cl_cmdrate 30 cl_download_ingame 0 |

| 128154 | 2003-03-16 01:39:00 | like I said your on Dial Up so don't expect miracles. but they may speed up CS a bit. also if you are using the CD (Cheating Death) script (which a few servers insist you have to use) it lags you as well. |
