128718	2003-03-17 01:27:00	Will someone please help me ?? :-) I am having probs with my cdrom...at least think thats the prob. I d/l clone cd then uninstalled it and now find that i cant play audio cds. I get an error msg that play request is denied ..then it will start but without sound. i have checked my sounds aren't muted . I use MMJB as my player but have also tried with winamp. My wav cds will play in the home stereo system and my mp3s will play in my portable cd player...why won't they play thru my pc anymore? I am running windows98 with an HP pavilion6619..600mhz...189mb ram . oh! and i dont hear the cdrom working when the cd does decide to play (with no sound) any help greatly apreciated	Shione83 (3380)
128719	2003-03-17 15:26:00	just a thought put music cd in rom highlight track then hold finger on shift key, then secondary mouse click (left) then open with choose say win amp and see if that works	Richard42 (3326)

128721	2003-03-19 03:46:00	Thank you to both Richard42 and -=JM=- for replying to my request for help :-) Richard i tried what u suggested with no luck but thanx anyway -=JM=- :-) when i read ur suggestion i thought to myself ..naaaaa...but decided to investigate anyway ......and u were 100% correct!!! My audio cable had become disconnected.... so i am now able to play and more importantly listen to my cds thru my pc. one more question....how on earth does a cable become disconnected in the first place? it has been working perfectly since installation some 3-4 months ago.
