128530 2003-03-16 03:58:00 Wilh some difficulty. Butgross errors will show up with simple tests. The best test I have come across is compiling a Linux system. That finds faulty memory that hardware testers won't. :D

You will find quite a few testing programmes, but don't assume that they can find all types of memory failure.

A perfect result just means that that programme didn't find any errors. The memory might still cause a real programme to crash.

128531 2003-03-16 09:56:00 Memtest86 is a memory test program that is very searching, it will find errors if they are there. It runs from a floppy disk, and takes a very long time to work its way through the tests.
