128631 2003-03-16 10:51:00 Have a corrupted file which I think was originally a Pagemaker file. It has defied being deleted as it cannot be read, have tried going to DOS to get rid of it but is still there.
The filename is corrupted, and cannot be opened.
How can I get round the objections of being deleted, running Win 2000.
it is a big file and is being a nuisance.

Thanks for someone out there.

128632 2003-03-16 12:02:00 If your Win 2000 system is fat32 use a win98 boot disk and boot from there if it is ntfs use the recovery console and try through that. mikebartnz (21)
128633 2003-03-16 12:32:00 Just thinking out loud, how about making a new directory (folder), moving the file to that then using a genuine dos boot disk to Del [dir name]/*.*

Other than that, I recall there are utilities out there for killing reluctant or corrupted files. Try a Google search.

Cheers
