| 128812 | 2003-03-17 09:43:00 | Hi there We have large monthly phone bills related to our business. I have a newish PC 1.3GHZ (Windows ME) with a Conexant SoftK 56 data, fax, speakerphone, PCI modem. There is no caller display on our exchange so inwards calls don't matter so much. I'd like a program (and/or hardware) that will allow you to dial a number and have the details of who you've called logged in a way that can be sorted by name, number or category. This way when the bill comes in you can quickly identify which calls are to be allocated as business and which as personal. I realise if such a program exists that there will be an initial stage of entering all the dialled numbers' contact details, but after the first month, most of it would probably just be repeats. I don't want any other fancy features - just the ability to pick up the phone bill and quickly assess the calls - any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Lynne Hawkins |

I ran a company with 12 incoming lines, phone account was $100,000+ pa or thereabouts. I had access to all billing info numbers and times from their system, no need to have our own. Excel and a "vlookup" function would be all the software needed. In our case we also had instant access to the log from our internal PABX. It comes down to what you view as "large" as to the service you get. But try asking first. |
