129001 2003-03-18 04:31:00 "12 years of diplomacy had failed to get the Iraqi leader to give up weapons of mass destruction."
"Waiting to disarm Iraq only after the regime, or terrorists trained by Iraq, strikes first is suicide" --George Bush.

Even ignoring that there hasn't actually been any solid evidence that such things exsist, this sounds really suspect! Lets take that logic and "disable" anyone we meet on the street at night before they pull out the knife that they might be carrying (?), after all that would be the sensible thing to do... Right???? Just in case???

When will these naughty boys learn to share the planet?

I do believe that although the USA did not sign up for the International Warcrimes Court, they still come under the Geneva Convention and the rules of war, and therefore can be charged for warcrimes under international law... just not in the new International Warcrimes court.

Saddam himself has confirmed that these things have existed and do exist - and as a result we saw Iraqis destroying some of these weapons just in the last two weeks.

129005 2003-03-18 05:31:00 Scouse.... The British Attorney General says Britain not liable. Read the latest Telegraph.

I say all strength to Bush's arm... its a bad, bad world out there from what I've seen.

129007 2003-03-18 05:55:00 I have never seen such a stream of naive, ill informed heifer dust in all my days.

If people,
(& I suspect most of the ridiculous comments posted above, have come from either the "bandwagon jumping, greeny, lefty trendies" or young folk who are either too lazy or ignorant to research the facts from both sides before they start spouting)
can't make balanced informed comments on this subject then they should either shutup & go back to playing the game running in the background or use their 56k to do some serious research on the subject & then come back with some informed opinions, not the diatribe I see here.

Just a thought to end with.
Almost every poster in this thread would face the death penalty (along with his/her family) if they were caught expressing opinions like this if they lived in Iraq.

But what the hell, it's not our war eh?
