So in that view democracy is hypocritical as it was suppose to help stop the bad things that derived from communism, but infact it hasn't it continues to do the same except now people have this placebo vote that means nothing!< Democracy is simply government via elected representatives, as opposed to a dictatorship which is government via an all powerful individual. Don't know where the idea that its supposed to create peace comes from. History shows that there are always wars, and no political system will stop that. How democracy is supposed to stop the bad things derived from communism, which is simply a system of sharing a common ownership, supposedly equally amongst many, is also beyond me, as many communist leaders are democratically elected. Go figure. And if you think your vote means nothing, don't cast it, but don't complain when someone you don't like is in a position of government. Did anyone see "Holidays in the Axis of Evil" on friday night? Looks like the Iranians could be even more receptive to being "liberated" than the Iraqi's! Could they be next? I don't think that will happen tho. A good opportunity while the forces are in the area, but I think it needs to happen from within Iran itself. |
