| 128742 | 2003-03-17 04:23:00 | One thing I'd need clearing up is can USB1.0/1.11 be upgraded to USB2.0? or does this require purchasing USB2.0 ports? If not then can you purchase USB2.0 USB port cards for PCI or other interface? What's the retail on those, just a rough estimate is fine. Thanks in advance. KK |

| 128743 | 2003-03-17 04:36:00 | No you can't upgrade USB 1.0 to USB 2.0, but 2.0 is backwardly compatible. That is a 2.0 device 'should' work on a 1.0 port (at 1.0 speeds of course), and a 1.0 device 'should' work on a 2.0 port. Dick Smith advertisee a 4 port USB 2.0 PCI card for $87.00 | wuppo (41) | ||
| 128744 | 2003-03-17 04:37:00 | USB1.1 cannot be upgraded other than by purchasing a PCI card with USB2.0 ports on it. These shouldn't be more than about $50. One other note USB2.0 ports are backwards compatible so plugging in an older USB1.1 device is fine. |
