| 129233 | 2003-03-18 10:06:00 | I am running win98se and when my daughter uses MSN it causes registry error the next time I switch the PC on.How can I stop this and also remove MSN for auto startup when the PC is switched on.? I know I am probably the last person still using 98se but there may be someone who has already fixed this problem | Ian Street (3400) | ||

Go to Tools and choose Options. 2. Click the Preferences tab and uncheck "Run this program when Windows starts." 3. Press Apply and OK. Now disable MSN Messenger in Outlook Express. 1. In Outlook Express, click Tools, and choose Options. 2. Go to the General Tab and clear the "Automatically log on to Windows Messenger" box. 3. Click OK. Next, make sure it's not in your Startup folder. 1. Go to Start and Run. 2. Type "msconfig" (without quotes). 3. Go to the Startup tab and make sure MSN Messenger is unchecked |
