| 129450 | 2003-03-19 08:15:00 | I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 Laptop, PIII 1GHz wondering how to get Speedstep to stay full speed, or have an XP tool to control it under Windows XP Home.. system seems to run at only 727MHz, while changing from battery to AC power it jumps to 900MHz + but then drops back to 727MHz even tho in the BIOS I have set SpeedStep to run at max preformance while on AC Power |

| 129451 | 2003-03-19 09:07:00 | Check there are no power management extra tools in the taskbar, otherwise: Right-Click on your desktop Choose Properties Choose ScreenSaver Click the Power Management button down the bottom Check around in there that there's no settings that are doing it too and over-riding the BIOS settings :-) Cheers Chilling_Silence |
