129787 2003-03-20 22:29:00 Running Win98SE. Asus A7S333 MB. AMD 1.8 processor. 20G drive C 80G Drive D. I have just purchased PowerQuest Drive Image 2002. The program cannot create a partition on drive D because of the Ontrack Data International Dynamic Drive Overlay V9.53. The MB is relatively new so I would have thought the BIOS would support an 80G HD, so is this program necessary? Any ideas on how to remove it? Thanks for any help David DavidW (532)
129788 2003-03-21 00:00:00 You need to run the disk again for the Ontrack software. This can be downloaded from your HDD manufacturer's website normally.
BUT!!!!! I think from memory if you remove this software you'll lose all the data on that HDD as it will not be partitioned any more. So make sure you backup all data on drive before removing!

129789 2003-03-21 00:28:00 You should not need Ontrack's software at all. I've had a look at the A7S333's specs, and it will support that drive quite nicely. However...

Ontrack's support database is here:
support.ontrack.com

The answer you are looking for (how to uninstall Dynamic Drive) is right up there at No.1!

Seems to be popular... :D

Thanks for that.
So I have removed the DDO and now have to reformat the D drive. It is an 80G HD but F disk will only format to 40G. I upgraded the BIOS to the most recent one but this is no help. The BIOS is Award AS31005. What next? Any Ideas? Thanks for any help. David
