| 129621 | 2003-03-20 06:06:00 | Hi, I've just installed SP3 from the PC World CD and received the error "NTOSKRNL.EXE damaged" (or something like that) when I restarted the PC. I then used the Win2000 install disk to try and repair the installation and now get a "Disk I/O Error" when trying to boot. I can use the Knoppix CD to look at the drive and can access all the files so the drive is still working. Suggestions about what to do from here? The drive is formated as FAT32 as NTFS does not seem to work on my old PC (I got the same error message when trying to install a NTFS file system, ie Disk I/O error). Thanks. |
