129629 2003-03-20 04:39:00 I want to do an upgrade. Is there some way of doing it so that I don't lose all my files etc that are on the computer.

My Dad doesn't want to do a complete format yet so, can Windows 98 upgrade the windows stuff without damaging anything else?

Another point, a W95 computer may have a very small HDD (less than 1GB) so there may not be room to do the full install and save the old W95 install as well.

Cheers

All your programs should still work, although some older compression utilities (HDD compression, such as doublespace.... Not winzip :-)) may not work with FAT32, so it would all depend on if your HDD is compressed :-)
