129650 2003-03-20 23:46:00 Oldfart, have tried Mailwasher, but it keeps coming up with the error DNS, cannot connect.

Have had too much trouble with Outlook Express problems and Xtra's Help facility that I chucked it away.

Touch wood, don't receive much spam anyway.

Les3: is your ISP XTRA??? Because if it is not then you cant download your e-mails XTRA is blocking any other ISP trying to connect to they mail servers.

Also if you post your e-mail problems here on press F1 some one might be able to help you.

129652 2003-03-21 02:26:00 stu140103 thanks for your reply.

We flowed over from Voyager's demise to the general public, to Xtra.

Stu we have posted to this site on the subject of Outlook Express stoppages a few times, but Xtra have always sorted the problems.

129653 2003-03-21 05:21:00 I also get the strange emails. I found that by blocking any emails which have specific email addresses in the To: or CC: sections. This only works because the spammer is sending them to me, and someone else (who I don't know) at the same time. somebody (208)
129654 2003-03-21 05:30:00 My hotmail gets spammed ever day. Strangly enough i dont get any spam in my Ihug account (i have no filters or anything).

What ever you do _DO NOT_ put your email where its says "Your Email Here" on a banner or "If this is flashing your a winner!" or "You have 1 new message" or any of the like.

Basically only give your email to those you trust
