| 129812 | 2003-03-21 05:35:00 | My friend said that he had an incident when he took the batteries out of a digital camera because they'd gone flat, and it caused the data saved on the memory card (CompactFlash or SmartMedia - I don't quite remember) to disappear. I don't see how this could possibly happen, as I have done it before, without any problems. Has anybody else had any problems like this before? |

| 129813 | 2003-03-21 06:48:00 | Both CF and SM cards are non volatile. It can happen howerver if the power is interrupted while saving or accessing an image, its possible to damage the file table structure and require the card to be re-formatted. |
