129723 2003-03-20 08:46:00 Just purchased the latest Australian Personal Computer mag (ummm -sorry Bruce) which has Mandrake 9 for the Xbox. I'll love to see one running it. Dolby Digital (160)

Ooooh, You mean like my very good nVidia drivers - So much better than the standard ones, but not signed by MS - So its likely harmful :p

129727 2003-03-20 10:58:00 Yes, pretty sure it said in the APC mag that the X-Box needs a modchip first Baldy (26)
129728 2003-03-20 11:26:00 Yeah it will need to be modded.

I know of someone with a modded Xbox. He also has a 120GB harddrive in it. Those two things equals a lot of emulators and ROMs.

129729 2003-03-20 11:27:00 I've just read the article in APC and yes, it does need a modchip and it has to be version 1.0 of the Xbox. Microsoft have done more "things" to version 1.1 and above to make life more difficult for hackers. In fact the article said that Microsoft might pull the Xbox from Australia cos the courts ruled that modding Sony Playstations was legal. Dolby Digital (160)
129730 2003-03-20 11:28:00 120GB - what a dagg ;) Dolby Digital (160)
129731 2003-03-21 00:58:00 *divides 120 gigs by 4.7 (size of a DVD) and works out you can hold a lot of DVD's on that HDD!* Chilling_Silence (9)
