130461 2003-03-24 08:56:00 Hi
Another problem for poor old effie c-
for yonks I have been sending/receiving "forwarding emails" of say cartoons and have had no trouble; then the last weekend I tried to forward a clever cartoon to a mate- and got " cannot find one or more pictures - do you want to send text only?"
After several attempts - always getting the same warning I typed two addresses in the address window and pressed "send"
- one man ( using XP did not get them, as per the warning - the other using win 98 SE like myself did get them( against the warning) - both have had forwarded pictures from me before.
I had in my "early days" tutor now a qualified computer Tech - employed and very skilled- he could not find out why this is happening - he- and I, earlier- went to al the HTML etc settings - from all sorts of approaches- no success
There is no setting that is wrong - can some genius suss this one out ---pleeaase??????

130462 2003-03-24 11:11:00 Hi effie c.

It probably depends how the cartoons are embedded or linked to the e-mail. If you do a post-mortem on the original one, right click on a picture and see what the properties are. See if it has a filename. See if your PC is saving the file?

Perhaps they are just links to a web picture, so it never actually exists on your PC?

130463 2003-03-24 22:09:00 Hi godfather- as usual you have given a different line and like other times you been very successful- I right clicked on the picture and it came up -save picture and select all there is no properties-
I have my settings in Outlook Express specifying HTML- now is that near a solution?
am also reminded that I got my mate to send me a completely independant cartoon/picture( ie one that had been no where near the first troubles) and though I got the pictures - when I tried to return it ( ie forward) back to my mate - yet again got this warning
I just wonder if I should e mail you direct - I know that is not ettiquette but what say you?
