130219 2003-03-23 04:06:00 Hi there,

I purchased a Deskjet 5550 yesterday, along with the optional No. 58 HP Photo cartridge. The photo quality was superb on Kodak 6x4 glossy photo paper on day 1, with no artifacts or lines.

However, on day 2, the quality was awful, even after extensive cleaning of the print head. Borderless 6x4 photos now have longitudinal lines that appear to be from the paper feeder or possibly from a blocked ink nozzle. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the print quality back?

Thanks,
Nik

When something is one day old and it doesn't work properly, you don't want our help, though you are welcome. You want (or deserve) your brand-new printer to work like a new printer. :D
