| 1333401 | 2013-03-19 23:24:00 | Every now and then, using Word 2007 in Win7pro64, the keyboard locks up and I have to restart Windows to clear it. Any ideas? I normally use my Bluetooth keyboard/trackball combo, but changing to a USB keyboard and separate mouse (after a lock-up) does not clear it. Reinserting the batteries in the BT doesn't help. Closing Word doesn't help. The only cure is to re-start Windows. When I have the problem, both mouse and trackball sort of work. I can place the cursor anywhere but can't move it with arrow keys or typing. Luckily I can save my work and close down. (The mice only partly work. If I try to drop the cursor in Thunderbird it selects the whole top half of the window) Windows/System/log doesn't show anything after a re-start. (except a warning that BT went out of range presumably because I took the batteries out) |
