1332968 2013-03-16 04:52:00 I am getting the following message “Spooler SubSystem App has stopped working and was closed.
A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available “
I am using Win Vista on an Acer 5520 laptop
Would someone offer some help with this as my printer will not connect /work

1332970 2013-03-16 07:11:00 Hi
I followed the instructions here but the message seems to be activated before or during startup so that I can not re install the printer drivers. Any other ideas to fix this ?

1332971 2013-03-16 08:00:00 Have you installed anything else that can act as a printer?? How many printers have you got there? More than 1 ? It maybe blocking you from printing. Is SP2 installed? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1332972 2013-03-16 21:25:00 SP2 is installed. There are no printers installed at present - when the problem occurred the printer got deleted. I can not add a printer, When I try, I get the following message " Windows can't open Add Printer. The local print spooler Service is not running. Please re-start the spooler or re-start the machine " When I restart the machine, the original message comes up . Can I re-start the spooler - how do I go ablut this ? - Thanks Swampy (2426)
1332973 2013-03-16 21:27:00 Did you try and install the drivers for this printer?? Is this when that error comes up as well? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1332974 2013-03-16 21:40:00 Quite a few things to try answers.microsoft.com (answers.microsoft.com)

You can also try running chkdsk. Click start type in cmd right click the result run as admin - chkdsk /r press enter.

Same thing with sfc /scannow.

1332976 2013-03-16 22:02:00 When I enter the CMD in the "run" menu, I get a window " C:\Windows\System32\CMD.exe " in a "DOS" screen that does not allow a right click. What did I do wrong ? Swampy (2426)
1332977 2013-03-16 22:03:00 You right mouse on command prompt, in the menu, and select run as admin. You dont do it after you type in cmd Speedy Gonzales (78)
