1332819 2013-03-15 08:32:00 We will be traveling to the USA soon and am thinking if an ipad works out cheaper to buy there we might do. However, will it work ok in NZ including access to apps etc? I'm not bothered about 3G so presume wifi access would work as normal. Any experience out there? Thanks. Mopar440 (17032)
1332820 2013-03-15 08:34:00 I see no reason for it not to work in nz. icow (15313)
1332821 2013-03-15 09:10:00 Should work absolutely fine :) The Error Guy (14052)
1332822 2013-03-15 09:40:00 Should work no problem. May need to get a NZ power adapter though. QW. (15883)
1332823 2013-03-15 10:08:00 Ditto to all the above. Got a Nexus 7 from their and it's fine. Should be the same deal. SanChippy (16951)
1332824 2013-03-15 10:20:00 It will work. My niece has a iPad2 that she bought new in the USA.

All she did when she got home was to replace the wall plug.

Her Wifi connects good as to her house internet and the apps etc all connect.

1332825 2013-03-15 19:39:00 With the wall chargers, you can use the US one here, it's just the pins will be different. If you buy a new charger in NZ (instead of using an adapter for the existing one) make sure you get a nice one that will be able to provide enough current to charge the iPad quickly. Some of the cheap/smaller USB chargers only provide 500mA (or even less!) , tablet chargers should be able to provide 1-2A (1000-2000mA) The Error Guy (14052)

1332827 2013-03-15 19:52:00 ie it's just a usb to wall socket adapter. icow (15313)

True but you can pick up an NZ Socket USB Charger for less than the "plug" part of an Apple one ;)
