1332755 2013-03-14 21:10:00 Hi, I have a Dell Ultrasharp running at 1920x1200 its native and see this blurry effect, I have already downloaded the latest drivers from ATI. It's a PCIe 4800 series. Running Win 7 x64. See attached. Any suggestions? Thanks. I think I got this after some Windows Updates but cannot recall which one, I updated a few of them. When I switch to other apps and back it may fix it or if I minimise all and back again.

1332756 2013-03-14 21:21:00 Are you sure it shouldn't be 1920x1080? Chilling_Silence (9)
1332757 2013-03-14 21:24:00 Does turning ClearType on/off help? pcuser42 (130)
1332758 2013-03-14 21:50:00 Nah ... its a 1200 reso monitor.

Will report back on the font after a while ..

1332759 2013-03-14 23:25:00 If it's showing up on your screenshot then it can't be the monitor. Must be Windows\Graphics card.

A monitor problem would not show up on a screenshot, only a photo taken of the monitor with a camera

1332760 2013-03-15 05:09:00 Turning off ClearType the fonts look different . . . didn't use it long enough to notice if the blur came back .

I uninstalled ATI Catalyst suite and rebooted, saw it just before again . Will install a older version and see what happens .

1332761 2013-03-15 22:12:00 I may system restore my image back 2.5yrs

The restore point couldn't finish, some error. I have uninstalled ATI Catalyst and removed the video driver now using the 2011 Windows driver, same reso at 1200 but still get the blur. Was working properly a couple of days ago ... Doesn't happen with VGA outlet but don't wanna use that.

1332763 2013-03-16 00:03:00 Will try that thanks.
I think I had this issue back a few yrs ago .. too. So I used VGA for some months  with a $1000 monitor at a reduced reso due to my video card.

1332764 2013-03-16 00:25:00 If it looks fine there's nothing wrong with using the analogue input, just make sure you have a decent cable or you may get ghosting etc. Agent_24 (57)
