1306521 2012-10-14 00:56:00 Since the first earthquake we have had 5 different teams of assessors through our house and flat, including a specially brought in engineer from Auckland, who have all come to the same conclusion that the first team did, the house and flat will require a total rebuild.

Ahh yes, but as the saying goes “Procrastination is the deadliest form of denial”.

Worked a treat with Pike River and the Rena too. ;)

1306522 2012-10-14 01:48:00 How about you tell us the real reason there has been no progress.
Been paid out by the EQC yet ?

Oh who gives a crap about the amount the EQC owes you first or waiting in line like the thousands of others in Christchuch in the same position. I didn't realize paying 40+ years of premiums excuses you from the log jam of shyte that needs to be dealt with first before it gets to you.
You really are being stupid now and if you are part of the insurance industry , with an attitude like yours do you wonder why people have no respect for you.

1306525 2012-10-14 09:30:00 Saying that just shows you are a prat.

Sorry Mike but there is no need to result to name calling. My last comment on this thread as it's turning decidedly nasty.

Someone made an honest mistake and you had to prattle on about dyslexic Press F1 people.
What was that saying about glass houses?

1306527 2012-10-14 19:42:00 They were supposed to be fast tracking claims for anyone over 88 yet I hear so many stories of people over that age still living in less than 3rd world conditions down here gary67 (56)
1306528 2012-10-14 19:59:00 It's a strange thing to be glad your parents are dead.
But I am, as this stuff would have broken their hearts.
It's going to be sad to see the area I grew up in completely demolished.
:(
The worst effect in all this is on the elderly in rest homes who get nothing
for the units they paid for and fondly imagined were theirs for life :( :(
