1306511 2012-10-13 21:30:00 The rubbish spouted by Insurance company shills, as expected, bears no relationship to the experiences of the
disenfranchised people of Canterbury. Who to put it crudely, are being spit-roasted by the gummint and fraudulent insurance companies.

1306512 2012-10-13 21:43:00 Do you work for Campbell Live, by chance?
Saying that just shows you are a prat.

1306513 2012-10-13 22:00:00 I wonder how the companies are being fraudulent when dyslexic people who can't tell apart AIG from IAG presumably never bothered to read their policies or question anything until poop hit the fan, cause you know, She'll be right mate, it won't ever happen to me.

Funny how you don't see specific articles on insurance companies being charged with "fraud" which surely is rampant left and right according to people here, yet you do get articles such as these www.stuff.co.nz

1306515 2012-10-13 22:53:00 Since the first earthquake we have had 5 different teams of assessors through our house and flat, including a specially brought in engineer from Auckland, who have all come to the same conclusion that the first team did, the house and flat will require a total rebuild.

Mum and Dad have paid total replacement insurance fees for the last forty years, ever since we have been in New Zealand.

It's been more than two years since the first earthquake and still no payout from Insurance Company just excuses.

I have been living in this house for the last two years that is like a drunken ship. Doors and windows won't open or close properly, holes and leaks in the roof, failure of electrical wiring, hot water tank broken and many other earthquake caused ills like cracked walls uneven floors broken foundation concrete walls, roof trusses broken and damaged, Mum (91 years old) had to go to an old peoples home as with all the leaks it was too cold for her.

The house was immaculate and Mum and Dad's pride and joy before the earthquakes. Almost every flat surface has moved in relationship to every other surface, the wallpaper is torn and pulled askew all along the corners and ceilings and walls. It's a real mess, a write off, WHERE IS OUR MONEY THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY OWES US BY AGREEMENT AND THAT WE HAVE PAID FOR THE LAST FORTY YEARS?

Don't talk to me about Insurance Companies.

I feel so sorry for your situation and have no time for insurance companies as they will do everything possible not to pay legitimate claims.
They are behaving just like ACC. Paying for all these experts when it would just about be cheaper to pay the claim in the first place.

1306517 2012-10-13 23:29:00 Well jester1004, any comment on facts?
Or will you crawl back under the bridge to wait for a smaller billy-goat?
Many sad tales similar to that told by zqwerty.
Appalling fraudulent behaviour on the part of insurance companies.:angry:angry:angry:stare:

How about you tell us the real reason there has been no progress.
Been paid out by the EQC yet ?

Oh who gives a crap about the amount the EQC owes you first or waiting in line like the thousands of others in Christchuch in the same position. I didn't realize paying 40+ years of premiums excuses you from the log jam of shyte that needs to be dealt with first before it gets to you.

1306520 2012-10-14 00:38:00 So sick of these ignorant whingers in Canterbury.
Do you understand that replacement means that it will be re-built like it was before ? and not, they're going to pay you in cash the replacement amount. Maybe they're would be a whole lotta less confusion if these kunckledraggers knew what they were paying for.

My windscreen is broken but I want you to replace the whole car. But I've been paying 40+ years of premiums to you, you dirty fraudulent, overseas owned conglomerates ! Grrr
